GHBOB 101: THE SPRING
In addition to starting preparations for the next school year, springtime also brings a few final performances, another big fundraiser, and a chance to say farewell to our seniors.
Winter Concerts: all ensembles present concerts during the first quarter of the calendar year.
Early April, GHBOB BOBCake Bash: the third and final major leg of the GHBPA FUNDRAISING stool is this 75+-year-old annual tradition. Many, many, many parent volunteers are necessary for this event, which typically occurs on a Friday night in early April in the GHHS gymnasium. Student musicians in grades 7-12 will perform, and every family is asked to donate one cake per student for the event.
Late April or early May, Spring Concerts and Senior Awards: the final concert of the school year for all ensembles occurs in late April or early May. Seniors from all groups will be recognized, and parent volunteers help to make that happen.
Early May, Cabaret: the GHHS Vocal Music program hosts its “Cabaret” event in early May, and the Jazz Ensemble typically performs.
Whew! That’s it! And then, of course, we start all over again . . . .
