GHBOB UPDATE

Greetings GHBOB families! Sorry for the delayed message this week, but luckily you haven't missed anything. This week's fun begins tonight and carries on into next week ​

which is huuuuuuuge, so read on for important updates!

1. GHBOB MEETING: Interested in getting involved with the GH Band & Orchestra Boosters? Join us for our monthly meeting TONIGHT (Thursday, October 12) at 6:30pm in the GHHS Band Room - enter through the doors off of Fairview Ave. We'd love to see you!
2. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: You'll be shocked to learn that we need just a couple more volunteers for this week's home game on Friday night! Please click here for the signupgenius, and help us out if you can.

   OHIO STATE HONOR BAND OPPORTUNITY: GHHS Band students in grades 9-12 are invited to participate in this year's Ohio State University Honor Band Festival to take place on January 12-14, 2024. For more details, visit the front page of our web site by clicking here. Interested students should see Mrs. Olis for a nomination form, which are due by Tuesday, October 31.

   CONCERT SEASON STARTS NEXT WEEK: Football season may be winding down, but that just means something else is ramping up - concert season! All of our instrumental music groups will be giving performances before you know it, and it all kicks off with the GHHS Jazz Ensemble and Seven O'Clock Jazz Bands, who will be in concert on Wednesday, October 18 at 7pm in the GHHS auditorium. Mark your calendars and join us for this special night!

   SEASON IN REVIEW: The GHHS Marching Band will give its annual Season in Review performance on Thursday, October 19 at 7pm in Bobcat Stadium. This event showcases our traditional pregame show and all four halftime shows. It's free and open to the public, and everyone is welcome! Come and experience your GHHS Marching Band favorites, all in one night!

   SENIOR RECOGNITION: Finally, to cap off one crazy week, our eight GHHS Marching Band seniors will be honored, along with their family members, during the pregame show before the Bobcats' last home football game on Friday, October 20. Come on down to the stadium a little bit early, to thank our seniors for the years of devotion to the GH band program.
