One of the longest-running and finest events of its kind, this annual offering welcomes students in grades 9&ndash;12 to campus. Outstanding musicians, selected from director nominations, will be placed by pre-recorded video audition into one of three bands for a weekend of quality music-making. The weekend will conclude with concerts on Sunday afternoon in Weigel Auditorium. Free and open to the public.</span></span><br /><br /><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0)"><span>Interested students should see Mrs. Olis for a nomination form. If selected, there will be a fee for attendance, but no money is needed at this time. We will line up at Stevenson, march down to the Ox Roast, perform songs throughout the event, then march out. We should be finished around 10:15pm. Once we are finished, students will have 20 minutes to return to the band room to drop off instruments. Now we gear up for a THURSDAY NIGHT game this week at Whetstone.</span></span><br /><br /><span></span><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0)"><span style="font-weight:700">Summer Uniform</span></span><br /><span></span><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0)"><span>The band will be performing in their summer uniform for the first few games (still pending delivery). If the summer uniform is not available again this week, we will wear the same uniform as game 1. Regardless of what uniform we are wearing, consistency from student to student is very important.&nbsp; All students are expected to follow these guidelines:</span></span><br /><span></span><ol><li><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0)"><span>All members will wear their band polo, band shorts, short white socks, and white marching shoes - or all pieces of the designated uniform. Shirts should be tucked in.</span></span><br /><span></span></li><li><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0)"><span>Members with long hair will have their hair up in a ponytail and/or french braid.</span></span><br /><span></span></li><li><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0)"><span>Undershirts and/or tank tops should be white - avoid contrast colors or graphic prints.</span></span><br /><span></span></li><li><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0)"><span>If members received a new pair of shoes, be sure to break them in before Friday to avoid blisters.</span></span><br /><span></span></li></ol><br /><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0)"><span style="font-weight:700">Ox Roast Pit Lighting - NEXT Thursday, September 4 </span><br /><span>The Bobcat Boosters Ox Roast Pit Lighting is next Thursday evening, September 4. All band members will be responsible for reporting to the Stevenson Elementary parking lot at 9:00pm. Students will be responsible for transportation to and from Stevenson, including instruments. We will line up at Stevenson, march down to the Ox Roast, perform songs throughout the event, then march out. We should be finished around 10:15pm.
