GHBOB UPDATE

​Good morning GHBOB families and welcome back from what we hope was a great spring break for you and your families. Unless I miss my guess, these last few weeks of ​

school are going to FLY BY, so please stay tuned here for important reminders and updates from GHBOB....like the ones you can read below!

1. LAST CHANCE FOR BOBCAKE BASH T-SHIRTS! If you haven't ordered your 75th Anniversary BOBCake Bash t-shirt yet, please click here to do so. All orders due by TOMORROW, APRIL 3!
2. CAKE DONATIONS - OR BUY YOURSELF OUT! Reminder that families are asked to donate one cake per band/orchestra student in your home, to be given away during the BOBCake Bash. Cakes may be dropped off any time after 3pm on April 12 at the GHHS gym. Don't have time to bake or buy a cake? No problem! Click here to make a $25 donation per cake and we will do your shopping for you! All donations MUST be received by April 8, to allow time for our volunteers to shop.

   DON'T FORGET THE CUPCAKE CONCERT! On Wednesday, April 10 at 6pm, our GH orchestra students will be giving the first ever CUPCAKE CONCERT at the Grandview Heights Public Library. Bring family and friends for some beautiful music, free cupcakes, and a chance to win raffle prizes including a Johnson's Real Ice Cream gift certificate, and tickets for the BOBCake Bash. See you there!

   BOBCAKE BASH SILENT AUCTION: This year's BOBCake Bash silent auction is shaping up to be one of the BEST EVER, thanks to the generosity of many local businesses (and the hard work of our GHBOB volunteers of course). We have donations from more than 30 business, at least 12 professionally decorated cakes, and gift certificates worth more than $1500! We are especially excited to welcome first-time donors like Fresha Soap Co., Green A Floral Design Studio, and The Loft Violin Shop - thank you for supporting our students! You can click here to see a full list of the donors and the exciting items available for bidding.

   MAKE A PLAN TO ENTER THE BOBCAKE BASH CAKE DECORATING CONTEST: This year's cake BOBCake Bash decorating contest has FOUR categories, including Best Bobcat Spirit, Best Music Theme, overall Best Decorated, and Best Reading/Library Theme. And the best part is, ANYONE CAN ENTER! Cakes can be dropped off at the GHHS Gymnasium beginning at 3pm on April 12 - please make sure you fill out a contest entry form when you drop off your cake.

HEY, THIS BOBCAKE BASH THING SEEMS LIKE A BIG DEAL, HOW CAN I HELP? Well, if you haven't already, please click here and add your name to the signupgenius. You can also help us - A LOT - by spreading the word in your own networks, about the Cupcake Concert, the Cake Decorating Contest, all the amazing Silent Auction items, and the whole BOBCake Bash event in general. The more people who attend and participate in all of these things, the better for our students!    MIDDLE SCHOOL OMEA: Even though we are distracted by cake, our students just insist on continuing to make music! About 15 of our seventh and eighth grade band members will be performing solos or in ensemble groups at OMEA this Saturday, April 6. This is another record number of participants, and GHBOB is so proud to support these efforts - and we wish them all good luck!
