GHBOB UPDATE

​HAPPY SPRING BREAK, GHBOB families! We hope you and your students are enjoying some well-earned downtime before we head back to school for these last few jam-

packed weeks. We wanted to take this opportunity to send a few reminders and updates from GHBOB. Please read on when you have a moment!

1. CAKE DONATION - OR BUY YOURSELF OUT! As you know, all GHBOB families are asked to donate one cake per band/orchestra student in your family to be given away during the BOBCake Bash. Cakes can be dropped off at the GHHS Gymnasium beginning at 3pm on April 12 - please look for the cake drop-off volunteers. BUT WAIT, WE HAVE MORE NEWS! New for this year, if you don't have time to bake or buy a cake, for a donation of $25 per student/cake we will do your shopping for you! Talk about a win-win: you get to check something off your to-do list, AND you get to help raise a little extra money for a very good cause. CLICK HERE to take advantage of this opportunity, but please note that all donations MUST be received by April 8, to allow time for volunteers to pick up cakes on your behalf.

HAVE YOU ORDERED YOUR T-SHIRT? Commemorative BOBCake Bash 75th Anniversary t-shirts are still available for a limited time. Click here to visit our web site for more information, and a link to the order form. All orders due by April 3. BIG THANKS to our friends at State of Devotion for their partnership, and for donating the proceeds of this sale to GHBOB.

   CAKE DECORATING CONTEST: If you are REALLY into baking and decorating, please make a plan to enter the BOBCake Bash cake decorating  contest. Open to absolutely anyone, we have categories for Best Bobcat Spirit, Best Music Theme, Best Decorated, and (in partnership with the GH Public Library), Best Reading or Library Theme. Decorated cakes can be dropped off at the GHHS Gymnasium beginning at 3pm on Friday April 12 - please make sure you fill out a contest entry form before leaving your cake! And PLEASE HELP US SPREAD THE WORD! Tell all your friends and neighbors who like cake decorating, as we are hoping for LOTS of decorated cakes this year. They help us raise funds too, as attendees spend tickets to vote for their crowd favorites, and we will also give away the cakes for donations at the end of the event. Every little bit helps!

   ALSO THERE WAS MUSIC! Can you believe that our GHHS instrumental music students were still making music and memories, even in the last days before spring break? Click here to read about the jazz ensemble's epic concert performance last Tuesday, and the GHHS instrumental music program's field trip to Dayton last Wednesday. Proud of our student musicians!
