GHBOB UPDATE

HEY, HEY, HEY GHBOB FAMILIES! Just a few quick notes to share from the GHBOB this week, please read on. ​

1. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THIS FRIDAY: Parents of the GHHS Marching Band, can you help us out with this week's away game at Whetstone (suuuuuper close by!) by driving the equipment truck? And/or helping to check out or check in our marching uniforms? PLEASE CLICK HERE to visit the signupgenius and sign up! Right now it seems like we might have partially dressed students with no instruments, which seems like a problem for a marching band. ;-) Thanks for considering!
2. EIGHTH GRADE BAND NIGHT: As a reminder, the Eighth Grade band will join the GHHS Marching Band on Friday night, September 29, playing in the stands during the first half of the game, and then joining the band on the field at halftime. Dress for this event will be the navy blue band logo t-shirt, shorts/jeans/khaki pants, and tennis shoes. NOTE THAT if you recently ordered a new shirt for your 8th grade student, it will be delivered to them at school before the performance next week. Please remind them to bring it home when it is delivered! The GHBOB will provide a pregame meal for the 8th grade band and the GHHS Marching Band to spend a little time together before the performance, so stay tuned for additional details on that. And everybody should plan to come and check it out, and support out eighth grade band members!

   MIDDLE SCHOOL SHIRT ORDERS: THANK YOU to all the middle school families who got their concert t-shirt orders in by the Sep 15 deadline! We are still trying to run down a a few issues, but we expect to have those shirts ordered and delivered to your student at school in plenty of time for their November concert performances. (If you missed the order window and still need a shirt, please reply to this message ASAP!)

   GHBOB MONTHLY MEETING: Please join us for the next monthly meeting of the GH Band & Orchestra Boosters this THURSDAY, SEP 21, at 6:30pm in the GHHS band room (you can enter through the doors facing Fairview Ave). Would love to see you there!
5. 
   GHHS MARCHING BAND SENIOR NIGHT: For those who may have missed our earlier announcement, just want to make sure that our senior families are aware that the eight GHHS Marching Band seniors will be recognized during the pregame show at the last home game of the season, on Friday October 20. More details to come, but please ensure your calendars are marked!
