GHBOB UPDATE

Good morning, GHBOB families, and did you know that the hills are alive? The Sound of Music premiered last night in the GHHS auditorium and you have three more ​

opportunities to catch the show before it closes tomorrow night. CONGRATULATIONS to the many, many members of the GH bands and orchestra who are participating either on stage or behind the scenes - it's a wonderful show! Here are a couple of other quick notes from GHBOB as we head into the weekend:

1. THE BLITZ CONTINUES! Have you been following along with our 30-Day Volunteer BLITZ? Watch for a new post every morning on our Facebook page - we have been recognizing a lot of our most dedicated volunteers and doing our best to recruit a few new leaders for the 2024-25 school year. There are just a few more BLITZ days left, but you can catch up with all the posts you may have missed on our web site by clicking here. And of course if there is a particular role you are interested in, please reply to this email and let us know.
2. SEVEN SHOPPING DAYS LEFT! You may have heard by now that our GHHS Concert Band is going to OMEA Large Group contest for the first time in many, many years next Friday March 15. We are SO EXCITED for this opportunity, and we know that you are too! Hopefully you weren't too excited by the news to take note of the required DRESS CODE for the Friday performance, which is ALL BLACK dress clothes with long sleeves, long pants/dresses/skirts, and closed toe black dress shoes. If your high school musician doesn't have these items, please take the weekend to find something suitable! As a reminder, the students will also give an open rehearsal performance of their contest music pieces on Tuesday March 12 in the GHHS auditorium at 6pm(dress for that event is the usual concert dress and need not be all black). The Grandview Singers and GHHS Concert Choir will also perform, as they are headed to OMEA contest at the end of the week as well.
