BAND PARENTS' UPDATE

10/7/2019

Greetings, Band families! It's starting to finally feel like fall outside, and not a moment too soon. Here's what's coming up:
  1. WE'RE BAAAAAAAAAACK!: that's right folks, after a couple of weeks on the road the football Bobcats will play at home this week, and you know what that means. We need your help! ONLY TWO MORE regular season games remain, so if you haven't helped us out yet, now is the time. At last count we still needed thirteen more volunteers in the concession stands, and four more to help with senior banners. Please click the links to find the signupgeniuses, and add your name today. Thanks!
  2. MIDDLE SCHOOL SHIRTS: middle school families, this is your last week to submit an order for your student's navy blue GH Bands polo, necessary for all band performances. Remember that all fifth grade families are asked to submit an order form, even if you already have a shirt. Students in grades six through eight may also order shirts to replaced one that is lost or outgrown. Order forms are available here to print out and return to school with a check, or you can order and pay online here.    ALL ORDERS DUE FRIDAY OCTOBER 11!
  3. SEASON IN REVIEW: if you are new to the GH Bands program, you may not be aware of the annual Season in Review event, coming up this year on October 24 at 7pm in the GHHS stadium. Open to the public, this is a showcase of the GHHS Marching Band's entire 2019 season, including pregame and all five halftime shows. For parents who have volunteered during the season, this is a great opportunity to catch the shows you may have missed. For families of students not yet in high school, it's a chance to check out the marching Bobcats and get your student excited about HS band. And for all of us, it's a very fun time! Admission is free, though donations are accepted at the door in support of GHHS bands. Rain site: GHHS gymnasium. Mark your calendars now, and don't miss out.
Thanks, all!  Questions? Let me know!
