band parent's update

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE VOLUNTEER: You may have heard that we are just a few hands short for the concession stands this week. As of this writing, we just need four more second shift workers

(7:30until 10ish), one to work the front counter, and three to work the back of the house (prepping orders and handing them off to the folks in the front). The concession stands are a major source of BPA revenue, and we really need all hands on deck to make things work. As a reminder, we do ask that each and every band parent fill at least three volunteer slots during the season. If you haven’t claimed yours yet, this is a perfect opportunity! Freshman and sophomore parents, don’t be shy. Parents of even younger students, step right up! NOTES ABOUT THIS WEEK’S “AWAY” GAME: As a reminder, this week’s game is being played at our home field. We are technically the visiting team, but because Bishop Ready does not have its own home stadium, we have an agreement to host the game here. For your information, the athletic department shared these details about how things will go on Friday:

• Ready will run the ticket gate and passes will not be accepted. Tickets will be $7 for adults, $5 for students and $3 for seniors.
• The Grandview team will be in their home locker room and stand on the home bleacher sidelines.
• Grandview fans will sit in the home bleachers and Ready fans will sit in the visitor section
• Grandview will be “Bobcats” on the scoreboard and Ready will be “Guests”
• As noted, the Grandview Band Parents are running concessions.
• Parking is open and there will be no reserved spots.
• The game will be carried on the radio on 820 AM and video streamed through ghathletics.org.
