REMINDER that the Calendar is available here.
1. CAKE WALK: this year’s Cake Walk was a rousing success, thanks to the efforts of each and every one of you. We’ll have final fundraising numbers to share soon, but we’re confident this was one of our best years ever. Thanks to all of you for being a part of it – we could not have done it without you!
2. UNIFORM ORDERS: current 8th graders planning to participate in HS marching band next year will be measured for HS uniform pieces at school during their band period on May 8. Please remind your student to wear clothes that s/he can easily slip shorts and a polo shirt on over, if possible. Each student will need to purchase a white GH Bands polo shirt, navy blue GH bands shorts, white marching shoes, and gloves. All orders must be placed through the Band Parents Association to ensure a uniform appearance. Order forms and other information will be distributed in May, and all orders must be placed by June 3. Upper class students in need of new or replacement items may also place orders as needed at that time. 3. CAMP REMINDERS: for all students planning to be a part of the 2019-20 GHHS Marching Band, reminder that your band camp forms and payment are due no later than June 28. Get started asap! Also remember that our next big parent volunteer push will be for band camp, so watch for a signupgenius soon. 4. SENIORS: families of senior band members, please remind your students to fill out the form provided by Mr. Herrmann (find it here) by April 12, to ensure we are able to appropriately recognize your student during their final concert on May 1. Thanks, all! Questions? Let me know!
