BAND PARENTs' update

Hello Grandview music families! Just a few notes this week from your friendly neighborhood Band Parents Association. Please read on!​

1. SATURDAY - WOW! For those of you who may have missed it, our seventh and eight grade students enjoyed an amazing day of learning and fun this past Saturday, performing at school in the morning and then enjoying a day together at King's Island. We've assembled all the photos and videos (including some that were not posted on our Facebook group), as well as a summary of the day's events, on the front page of our web site. Click here to check it out, and thanks SO MUCH to all of you who had a hand in making it happen!
2. SENIORS, PLEASE RSVP: The GHBPA is hosting its annual picnic for graduating jazz/band/orchestra seniors and their directors on May 21, and so far we have received only three RSVPs (and one of them is Mrs. Olis, who can't wait to see you all!). Please, please, please encourage your senior student to click here and let us know if they will be able to join us or not, so that we can plan accordingly for food and drink. We understand it's a busy time and your student may not be able to make it, but either way please let us know. Need more details about the event? Click here for the full scoop!
3. GHHS MARCHING BAND: just a reminder for those who may be new the GHHS MB family, the marching band does have one final performance this year, marching in the GH Memorial Day Parade on Saturday, May 27. The directors will provide more information on the where, when, and what to wear, but we wanted to ensure that families were reminding their students to plan to be available for this important community event.

   COME JOIN US! As a reminder, the May meeting of the GH Band Parents will be NEXT THURSDAY, MAY 18 at 6:30pm in the GHHS Band Room (enter from the Fairview Ave door). Looking for a new way to get involved? We have a few leadership positions opening up for the next school year. Please come and learn more about it! We are open to all - middle or high school, orchestra, jazz, or band. If you have an instrumental music student in your family, we want you!
