REMINDER that the Calendar is available here.
DECAL DRIVE: this Sunday July 30th, from 6pm-8pm. Note that all HS students are expected to attend and participate, unless otherwise cleared through Mr. Herrmann. Students should arrive at Edison commons by 5:50pm to check in, enjoy pizza, and grab a water before leaving with their designated route driver. Summer uniform is required, but NOT marching shoes. (Better to be comfy, so they can wear good walking shoes of their choice.) Groups based on rows from camp will split into teams and cover each side of the street on their route, with an adult driver or walker. Once they complete their route and have checked out back at school (with their driver), they are free to go. Please make arrangements for your student to get home safely, and thank them for working hard that night! Still need a few more parent volunteers for this event, so visit the signupgenius if you can lend a hand. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c044aafad2dabf58-decal
FALCO PARK CONCERT: if you’re new like I am, welcome to another great GHHS band tradition, the outdoor concert in Falco Park in Marble Cliff on the last Sunday evening before school starts. This year the event takes place on August 13th at 7pm. A few parent volunteers are needed to assist with setup and tear down, so please visit the signupgenius if you can help. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090f4baea62cab9-falco PICTURE DAY: the HS Athletic Dept has secured a photographer to take individual pictures of student athletes and band members on Friday, August 11. We are hopeful the new uniforms will be here for this photo opp! Attendance is NOT mandatory, and there will be no group picture, so your student need only attend if you plan to purchase a photo package. Details on timing will be provided closer to the day, as we will need to bring students in “waves” to ensure time to get uniforms on and off, etc. Stay tuned, but in the meantime mark your calendar if you so desire.
