BAND PARENTS' UPDATE

Greetings, Grandview Heights Band Families!
In a normal year, right about now would be the time that we start preparing all families

of 8th through 11th grade band students for the upcoming fall season of the Grandview Heights Marching Band. Needless to say, this is NOT a normal year, and in fact the furthest thing from it! Many, MANY uncertainties remain with regard to the covid-19 pandemic and its many health and safety protocols. And even without that "small" complicating factor, we are also now in the midst of Grandview's multi-year facilities improvement project that will make scheduling a challenge for all student groups, for several years to come.

All of that said, we know that the tantalizing potential of summer family vacations is dancing in all of your heads, and we wanted to provide you with some summer scheduling information for students who intend to participate in Marching Band during the 21-22 school year: 

• Pre-camp rehearsal week: July 19-23, 2021
• Band Camp: July 25-30, 2021

Please hold these dates on your calendars, and stay tuned for further details. It remains uncertain when we will be able to return to "normal" activities, but for those who would like a refresher on what a "normal" year looks like in our band programs, please feel free to visit our Bobcat Bands 101 feature on the band web site.
