Good evening! Here are a few updates from the Band Parents Association: 1. CONCESSION VOLUNTEERS: friends, we’re having a really hard time filling all of our concession volunteer slots this year. There are only 150 slots throughout the whole entire season, and 108 students in the marching band. We ask every parent to take three slots during the season, which should be more than enough to get all the jobs filled. Simple math! But every week we are struggling, and we still have six open slots for tomorrow night’s game. It’s homecoming, so the crowds will be big, and we will need all the help we can get. Please, please PLEASE, visit the signupgenius today and help us out by adding your name to an open slot. Thanks!
2. SEASON IN REVIEW: hard to believe, but we are already closing in on the end of the marching season. Our traditional Season-in-Review event will be held on October 25 at 7pm in the football stadium (rain site: HS gymnasium). The GHHS marching band will perform all of its shows from the entire season, which is a great catch-up opportunity for parents who weren’t able to see every performance, because, say, you were volunteering in the concession stand at the homecoming game ^^^^^^ and couldn’t watch the halftime show. (See what I did there?) Mark your calendars for 10/25! 3. BAND PARENTS MEETING: next meeting of the GH Band Parents Association will be 6:30 pm on Tuesday 10/16 in the HS band room. Join us to learn how you can help support the Grandview Heights band program! Thanks, all! Questions? Let me know!
