BAND PARENTS UPDATE

Greetings Band families! Big news - CAKE WALK is coming!!!! This year's Cake Walk is on Friday April 3 from 6:30 to 9:30pm. Please read below for how you can help. And

then, of course, please help!

1. CAKE WALK VOLUNTEERS: the Grandview Heights Cake Walk is a 71-year tradition, and a major fundraiser for the Band Parents Association. Because the BPA supports all band programs for students in grades 5-12, and because the Cake Walk requires more than 140 adult volunteers to make all the magic happen, we ask the families of all Grandview Heights bands students in grades 5-12 to help out. In short, that means if you're reading this, we need you! Please visit the signupgenius ASAP and sign up for as many things as you possibly can. We are SO grateful for your help!
2. CAKE WALK LOCATION: in other important Cake Walk news, the Cake Walk is taking a walk! Due to ongoing construction activities and our desire to ensure a safe and fun event for everyone, the Cake Walk will RELOCATE for the next three years to the MIDDLE SCHOOL GYMNASIUM. Please help spread the word to friends, family, neighbors, and other community members who might not be on our BPA mailing list. 
3. MIDDLE SCHOOL CONCERT: the Middle School bands' winter concert is also on the move, and will also occur this year in the MIDDLE SCHOOL GYMNASIUM. The 5th and 6th grade bands will perform at 6pm on Wednesday, February 26, and the 7th and 8th grade bands will follow at 7pm on the same night. See you there!
4. DID YOU KNOW? if you ever have a question about what's going on in the Grandview Heights band program, you can probably find the answer on our band web site. The Bobcat Bands 101 section contains a detailed breakdown of all band activities, there's an up-to-date calendar of band activities maintained by the Band Director, and all emails from the Band Parents and the Band Director are posted to the blog.
