BAND PARENTS' UPDATE

Greetings GH Band families! We are THRILLED to report that we successfully packed our GHHS Marching Band students off to Band Camp yesterday - thanks in no small

part to the efforts of SO MANY of you. Thanks to everyone who had a hand in this effort! We are sure they will enjoy a great week of hard work, learning, and plenty of fun and bonding with each other, in preparation for the upcoming school year. Go Bobcats!

1. REMINDER ABOUT REMIND: Are you on Mr. Herrmann's remind group yet? If not, click this link to join, or simply text @ghmb21 to 81010. Important for this week, Mr. Herrmann will use this list to send updates about departure from camp and arrival back at school on Friday - but it will also be a source of reminders and updates throughout the football season as well. 
2. FACEBOOK: While we are at it, have you joined the Band Parents Facebook group yet? If not, now's the time! We'll be posting pictures from Band Camp all week! Plus, even if you don't have a student at Band Camp, or a student in high school, our FB group is a great place to stay up to date on all of our current happenings, reminders and schedules for student events, and of course volunteer opportunities. Search GHBandParents and ask to join!
3. SPONSORSHIPS: This is the LAST WEEK for Grandview Heights Bands sponsors to be included in the Bobcats fall sports program. If your family, business, employer, or other community organization would like to become a sponsor of the Bobcat bands, please visit our web site for more information that you can share with them (including a link to the sponsorship form). Sponsorship leves from $100 to $1000 are avaiable, so there's something for every budget! And TO BE CLEAR: we'll still take. sponsorship support any time - but print deadlines for the sports program are non-negotiable. Please encourage any interested sponsors to make their commitments before July 29!
4. VOLUNTEERING: Hey, have we mentioned that we need your help? Well, we do! Running the concessions stand during the fall football season is a SIGNIFICANT SOURCE OF FUNDRAISING for the Band Parents organization, and we use that money to fund all sorts of student activities for students in ALL GRADE LEVELS.
