BAND PARENTS' UPDATE

Greetings, band families - we've crossed the halfway point of football season, and are hading for home.....which means concert season is just around the corner. Read on for

important details about upcoming events!

1. MIDDLE SCHOOL SHIRTS: reminder that all middle school band shirt orders are due no later than October 11. Hard copies of the order form were sent home with your student, and can also be found here. Alternatively, you may order online here. All fifth grade students are asked to submit an order form (even if you don't need a shirt), so that we know all students will have something to wear for the first concert. Students in grades 6-8 may also order at this time, if they need to replace a lost or outgrown shirt. 
2. NEED A DRIVER: the GHHS Marching Band needs an extra volunteer this week, to drive the equipment truck to and from the Bobcats' game at Harvest Prep. No special skills needed, as long as you have a valid drivers license, you can do it! Please reply to this email or contact Mr. Herrmann if you are willing to assist. 
3. CONCESSIONS AND OTHER STUFF: speaking of volunteering, the concessions signupgenius for the next home game (Oct 11) is only about half full at this point - still need another 14 of you to raise your hand and say "yes, please, I would love to help!" Likewise need more folks to help with "other" tasks of hanging and taking down senior banners before and after the game, so click that signupgenius here if you can assist. Yes, middle school parents, we welcome your help as well....so don't be shy! 
4. HS ATTENDANCE FORM: finally, did you know that the form for reporting a HS student's absence is available on the band web site? Forms must be submitted two weeks in advance of a planned absence.
