BAND PARENTS' UPDATE

Happy summer from the Grandview Heights Band Parents Association! BAND CAMP is coming up quickly, please see below for a few important notes. ​

1. ATTENTION SENIOR PARENTS: if you are a parent of a rising senior, please note that we are specifically counting on some of you to serve as overnight chaperones for the last night of Band Camp (Thu July 25). Traditionally, the seniors stay up all night that night, and they need supervision. If you are able to help, please visit the signupgenius today. 
2. ATTENTION EVERYONE ELSE: you're not off the hook just cuz you don't have a senior! We do still need a few more chaperones for each night of Band Camp - but here's the bright side.....you get to sleep! The job is really pretty simple: you are needed at Wittenberg from 8pm until 6am. You'll supervise whatever evening activity happens to be going on, and then bed down in your own private dorm room for the night. You're just asked to keep your parental ears on alert for any shenanigans, and to be available to the students in the event of an emergency. FRESHMEN PARENTS, don't be shy! Anyone can sign up to help, and this is a fun way to get to see your student for a few minutes during the week s/he is away. Please, if you can help out, go here to sign up. 
3. BAND CAMP FORMS AND PAYMENT: finally, a reminder that all Band Camp forms and payment are due by June 28, which is coming up very soon. Go here for a copy of the forms if you need them, and here for payment information. 
4. BAND PARENTS MEETING: finally, please feel free to join us for the monthly BPA meeting this Thursday, June 20, at 6:30pm in the GHHS band room (enter through the breezeway doors off of Fairview Ave). We are always happy to have new faces!
