BAND PARENTS' UPDATE

GHBPA wishes a big CONGRATULATIONS to GHHS Marching Band member and HOMECOMING ROYALTY Maggie Herlihy, as well as our other Homecoming Court

members Meeka Reese (GH Jazz Ensemble) and Cody Allen (GHHS Orchestra)! Love to see our instrumental music students recognized and representing us so well. We hope everyone enjoyed the Homecoming parade and other festivities of the weekend - it was a great weekend to be a Bobcat!

1. THANK YOU..... AND MORE VOLUNTEERING: We want to say a hugethank you to all those who answered our desperate call on Friday - we had several brand new volunteers step in to help and we reallyappreciated it! Hard to believe, but this Friday is our FINAL home game of the season, so we promise, it's the last time we'll be begging for concession stand volunteers this school year. Please click here and fill up the signupgenius now, so we don't have to keep harassing you all week. :-) Keep in mind that the parents of our senior band members will be busy with their students being recognized and celebrated, so our volunteer pool is a bit low again. As always, we need all the help we can get!
2. MIDDLE SCHOOL SHIRT ORDERS: If you have a middle school instrumentalist in your home, please ensure that you have ordered their 2022 concert t-shirt. Click here for the order form. The cost is $10 per shirt, and the shirts will be delivered to your student at school before the first concert. ALL MIDDLE SCHOOL BAND AND ORCHESTRA MEMBERS (except for 8th Grade Band) MUST ORDER A SHIRT this year, and all orders are due by October 16. 
3. SENIOR FAMILIES: Reminder that this Friday, Oct 14 is senior recognition night at the football game. Our eleven GHHS Marching Band seniors will be celebrated, along with senior cheerleaders and football players. Please be at the south end of the Stadium by 6:15pm (behind the Band's bleachers) to get organized. You will walk to the visitor sidelines as a group. When your student is introduced, you and they will walk along the 50-yard line from the visitors’ side to the home side of the Stadium. Please pause for a picture just before you reach the home sideline. You will then walk to the north end of the field and help to form the two lines that our football team runs between as they enter the field for the game. And then you are free to go back to the stands and watch the game!
