BAND PARENTS' UPDATE

Greetings, Grandview Heights Band families! We are gearing up for CAKE WEEK 2021 here at Band Parents HQ....and that means we could use just a little help from our

friends. Read on!

1. CAKE WEEK IS COMING!: some of you out there may be wondering, "hey, what the heck is CAKE WEEK?" Well, I'm glad you asked! CAKE WEEK is an all online virtual week of fun and fundraising, in support of the Grandview Heights band programs. This year CAKE WEEK will be held from April 26 through April 30. You can follow along as activities are announced on the official CAKE WEEK Facebook page right here. We'll also be updating the web site as more information is available, so check back early and often. 
2. SIGN UP TO HELP: those who remember many previous years of Cake Walks may recall that in the past we have asked each and every band student to donate one cake for the cause. The good news this year is, we don't need cakes from all of you for CAKE WEEK. The other news this year is, we do still need cakes (and other stuff) from lots of you! 3. SHOW YOUR BAND PARENT PRIDE: everybody here knows how proud you all of your Grandview Heights Band student, but now is your chance to TELL THE WORLD. Print off a copy of the official "GH Band Student Lives Here" sign and display it on your front door during CAKE WEEK. And if you really want to increase your eye roll quota for the week, make junior pose for a pic with it and then post it on the CAKE WEEK Facebook page. 
4. OH, YEAH, AND WE WEREN'T KIDDING: as we mentioned previously, we are still looking for several new volunteers to fill out the Band Parents board and committee chairs for the 2021-22 school year. Visit our web site for more information on the various positions, or reply to this message or email current GHBPA president Karen Smith for more details.
