BAND PARENTS UPDATE

PLEASE CONSIDER ATTENDING THE GH BAND PARENTS MEETING next Thursday, July 20, at 6:30 pm in the High School band room (enter at the breezeway doors). If you're 

new (like me!) this is a great way to learn about all the things that the Band Parents do to support our amazing bands programs, and how you can get involved. Open to adult family members of all GH Bands students, grades 5-12. Hope to see you!

WONDERING ABOUT H.S. UNIFORM PIECES YOU ORDERED? Summer uniform polos and shorts orders (and most likely shoes), will be available for pick-up by your H.S. student at the pre-camp band practices next week. Any orders not picked up before band camp will be available at the post-band camp practices. Glove orders will be distributed during the school year before and/or in connection with the Alumni Night football game on September 8th, which will be the first time that the fall uniforms are worn.  Gloves will also be available for purchase prior to this game.

AS FOR BAND CAMP (July 23-28), reminder that we can still use just a few more adult volunteers, so please visit the signupgenius (http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090f4baea62cab9-grandview2) and see if you can help. Men especially are needed for overnight chaperone duty, please please please and thank you! The Band Camp committee has been reviewing all our forms and paperwork, and will be reaching out in the coming days to get any missing documents. Thanks to them for their tireless work!

FINALLY, DON'T FORGET THE DECAL DRIVE is coming soon to a band student near you, on Sunday, July 30. For the new families: this is the day that high school band students go door-to-door in town, helping to drum up financial support for the bands programs.  Please plan for your student to be involved from at least 6pm to 8pm; we will also need many adult volunteers.
