BAND PARENTS' UPDATE

SAVE THE DATE: Monday August 12 will be picture day for the HS marching band. This will include a full band group photo, as well as individual photos of all

1. seniors for senior banners to be displayed at home games. Specific time and location details will be available later, but please mark your calendars now. 
2. VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED: we still need LOTS of overnight chaperones for Band Camp. Please visit the signupgenius and help us out. All are welcome, no experience required!
3. BAND CAMP FORMS AND PAYMENT: please remember that Band Camp forms and payment are due on June 28. Band Camp forms and the annual Band Camp Newsletter are available here, and any other information you could ever need about Band Camp (including instructions for online payment) is available here. Please let us know if there's anything that you find confusing, we are happy to help!
4. DID YOU KNOW? Finally, we know many of you are new to HS marching band and all that it entails. Things come at you fast, but there are a number of ways to stay up to date. Mr. Herrmann sends regular emails (typically weekly during marching season), and the Band Parents Association does the same. If you or anyone you know would like to add additional email addresses to the Band Parents' email distribution, please just reply to this message and let us know. All email messages from Mr. Herrmann and the BPA are also posted on the blog page of the web site, and are tagged according to topics, so you can search there for information that you may have missed. The web site is also linked to Mr. Herrmann's official band programs calendar, so you can check there for important dates and events. There is also a private Facebook group (search for Grandview Heights Band Parents and send a request to join), and a public Twitter feed (@BandHts), to help you stay informed. Choose the method or methods that work best for you and your family!
