Good evening! Here are a few updates from the Band Parents Association: 1. POLO SHIRTS: Last call for shirt orders! Middle school band members wear navy blue Grandview Heights Bands logo polo shirt for performances. All fifth graders need to submit an order form (find it on the band web site, here) no later than THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12, to have their shirt in time for the first concert. Please submit your form even if you are not purchasing a shirt, so that we know your student is accounted for. Older students may also order a new shirt, using the same order form, if theirs is lost, damaged, or outgrown.
2. HIGH SCHOOL PERFORMANCES: middle school band students and their families are welcome and encouraged to attend the high school bands peformances. In addition to performing at all varsity football games, the GHHS Marching Band will also perform its annual Season in Review on October 25 at 7pm in the HS football stadium. The GHHS Jazz Ensemble also has its first concert of the year on October 17 at 7pm in the HS auditorium. Come check ‘em out! 3. BAND PARENTS MEETING: next meeting of the GH Band Parents Association will be 6:30 pm on Tuesday 10/16 in the HS band room. You’re a member, too! Join us to learn how you can help support the Grandview Heights band programs. 4. COMMUNICATIONS: in addition to these emails, the GHBPA uses a number of tools to help parents stay informed about band and BPA activities. We regularly update the bands web site, and post all BPA and Director’s emails on the web site blog. We are on Facebook (search for GHBandParents and send a request to join), and Twitter @BandHts. Choose what works best for you and your family! Thanks, all! Questions? Let me know!
