Band parents' update

Hello, Grandview Heights instrumental music families! We hope that many of you had the opportunity to take in some of the amazing music-making from our GHHS students

last week - it was really a great week for our band program! Please read on for some important CAKE WALK updates and other news.

1. WE NEED YOUR HELP: we are grateful to everyone who has already signed up to help with the 73rd Annual Cake Walk - but it's not enough of you! Please consider clicking here and signing up to help us out with the Cake Walk event on April 8. New to Cake Walk? No problem! All your questions can be answered by clicking here! 
2. WE ALSO NEED YOUR CAKES! in order to make the Cake Walk happen, all GH band families are asked to donate one cake per student in their home (so, one band student in the family = one cake, three band students in the family = three cakes, and so on). Please plan to drop your cake(s) off any time after 3pm on Friday April 8, in the OLD Larson Middle School COMMONS. 
3. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD: Cake Walk is only a a successful fundraiser if people come! Please tell your friends, family, and neighbors to join us in the OLD Larson Middle School gym & commons on April 8, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm, for fun, fun, FUN (and a little bit of fundraising). Need help explaining what the event actually is?    SCHEDULE CHANGE: finally, please note a schedule change for the final concerts of the year for our MIDDLE and HIGH SCHOOL bands. The MIDDLE SCHOOL BANDS will give their spring concert performance on April 27, at 6pm (5th and 6th grades) and 7pm (7th and 8th grades). The GHHS CONCERT BAND and GHHS JAZZ ENSEMBLE will give their spring concert on April 28, at 7pm. This is a "flip flop" of dates due to a high school athletics scheduling issue that the band program has agreed to accommodate.
