BAND PARENTS' UPDATE

Good morning GH Band Families! Please read below for a few important announcements from the GH Band Parents Association. 

1. YEP, YOU GUESSED IT: Our lead story is, we need some help! The football Bobcats finally return home this week for Alumni Night on Friday 9/24, and we need about six more people to help staff the concession stands. Please help out if you can - you can click here to add your name to the signupgenius. It is easy and fun, and all are welcome!
2. ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL FAMILIES: Do you have one or more navy blue "GH Bands" polo shirts at home from your student's glory days in the middle school bands? Are you willing to part with them? We are gathering up old blue shirts for use in outfitting our 8th grade students for the 10/1 performance with the HS band - because of all our covid complications we don't have time to order new ones, and many 8th grade students have outgrown the one they last wore for concerts in 6th grade. Please send your unneeded shirts to school with your student, this week if possible. (NOTE: for anyone who still has middle schoolers at home who might need those shirts - do NOT send yours in. Right now we are just gathering ones we can keep.) Thanks for your help!
3. EIGHTH GRADE SHIRTS, ONE MORE TIME: Hey, speaking of those eighth graders who will perform on 10/1 - do you have one at home? And if so, have you checked to see if their navy GH Band shirt fits yet? Right now we have a list of 15 students who need a larger size, which means there are thoeretically 25 eighth grade students out there who haven't grown all that much since they were about 11 years old. That feels.....ambitious! Please let us know by reply email ASAP (like, now please - today!) if your student will need a larger size shirt than the one you currently have at home. (If you have already emailed and we have responded - there's no need to reply again.)
