BAND DIRECTOR'S UPDATE

Tough loss for the Bobcats last Friday!  We’ll be there to cheer them on this Friday.  If you haven’t heard, the game against Whitehall-Yearling was canceled and we have

scheduled a replacement.  The game will be at Whetstone HS in Clintonville.  Additionally, we will perform at the Ox Roast Pit Lighting after we return.
We will also debut Show 2 - “The Blues Brothers Revue” this week.  It features music from the original movie as well as their 1978 live album, “Briefcase Full of Blues.”  You might even see Jake or Elwood Blues at the performance!

Ox Roast Pit Lighting - Friday, September 10 
Just a quick courtesy reminder for this Friday, September 10th.  The band will perform after the game for the Pit Lighting at the Ox Roast. We will return to new LMS to unload the bussess and instrument truck.  Students will be responsible for transportation to Stevenson.
NOTE: All large instruments (baritone, sousaphone, and drums) will need to transport their instruments to and from Stevenson.

Summer Uniform - REMINDER
The band will be performing in their Summer uniform for at least the first two games.  Consistency from student to student is very important.  All students are expected to follow these guidelines:

• All members will wear their white band polo, blue band shorts, white socks, and white marching shoes.
• Members with long hair will have their hair up in a pony tail and/or french braid.
• Undershirts and/or tank tops should be white - avoid contrast colors or graphic prints.
