BAND DIRECTOR'S UPDATE

Announcements: Pre-Camp

*Summer uniform orders are now available on the band website (https://www.grandviewhtsband.org/). This year, we evaluated new, more comfortable and modern options for our GHHS Marching Band students. The shirt is a lightweight 100% polyester with moisture wicking technology, which we hope will be more comfortable in hot temperatures. The shorts are a longer length than our previous shorts, are made of the same fabric as the new shirts, and best of all, THEY HAVE POCKETS! Both items will be printed with the GH Bands logo. Rising freshmen and other new GHHS MB members must order a polo shirt, shorts, marching shoes, and at least one pair of gloves. All other members may order new or replacement pieces as needed or desired. Percussionists are not required to purchase gloves. Purchased items will be delivered to your student at school.

*Uniform fittings for the full marching band uniform will begin on Friday during pre camp rehearsal. Please wear what you would normally wear under your uniform for a football game performance (i.e. tshirt and shorts). Not every student will be able to be fitted at this time. Fittings will continue during the Monday/Wednesday evening rehearsals the first two weeks of August.

*Band Camp is THIS Sunday! Please make sure you have read through ALL of the camp information on the website before Sunday.

August 1, 3, 8, 10 (Mon./Wed.): Evening marching band rehearsals, 8-10pm, old MS gym August 2 (Tues.): National Night Out Performance, Report time/Warm-Up: 5:30pm, Performance 6pm, Wyman Woods Park
August 10 (Wed.): Marching Band Pictures, 10am-3pm; More specific details on time and dress will be provided after band camp
August 14 (Sun.): Falco Park Concert, Performance 7pm, More specific details on report time and dress will be provided after band camp
