Band Camp 2017 is only 2 days away!!! We are very excited to continue our hard work and preparations for the upcoming season. Our goals are to chart Shows 1, 2, and 5 as well as Pregame; plus beginning the memorization process for all 2017 music. Pre-Camp has shown the staff and students what they are capable of achieving and I have no doubt we will continue all the way until the end of October.
Below are a few last minute items regarding Band Camp. Please read carefully. NEW ASSISTANT MARCHING BAND DIRECTOR Please help me welcome Mr. Scott Warburton to the Grandview Heights band family. Mr. Warburton has an extensive background in performance and recently (2015) completed his teaching certification in music. He will serve as our Director of Orchestras at EILMS and assist Mr. Heath and I during the school day with marching band. We are very lucky to have him with us! The student handbook rules and regulations will be followed, and all mishaps at camp will be reported to Mr. Chaffin, the High School Principal. Be reminded that band camp is an extension of the high school class. Students are expected to behave accordingly. In order to effectively search the luggage and load the truck properly, the campers should arrive at the following times: 11:45AM Percussion & Tuba Instrument Load In Only (Students may leave until their report time.) 12:00PM Freshman 12:30PM Sophomores 1:00PM Juniors 1:30PM Seniors Due to facilities work during the summer; check-in will start at the northwest GHHS door off the Oakland parking lot (Richards/Meister door).
