In 2022, the GHBOB officially "adopted" the GH orchestra programs, and became the sole booster organization for all instrumental music programs in Grandview Heights Schools. Since that time, we have supported two OSU field trip opportunities for grade 5/6 orchestra students in December of 2022 and 2023, the ProMusica partnership and concert attendance for 7th through 12th grade orchestra students in March of 2023, and the group adjudication event before the Kings Island field trip for grade 7/8 orchestra students in May of 2023. We also provided senior recognition for our graduating orchestra students in 2022 and 2023, arranged for bulk purchase of concert t-shirts for our middle school orchestra students in the fall of the last two year, and prepare concert programs and provide communications support and a discretionary budget for the orchestra director to use for educational programming.
We are eager to help grow and develop our orchestra groups and find new ways to engage our orchestra families in our efforts, and we are really pleased that Tessa Carrel has agreed to serve as our first ever Orchestra Liaison to the GHBOB Board (thank you, Tessa!). But we'd love to have more of you involved, too! Think you can help? Got more questions? Comment below, or send us an email at GrandviewHeightsBOB (at gmail.com). And please plan to join us on FEB 29 at 7PM at the GRANDVIEW THEATER to learn more! #30dayvolunteerblitzwithGHBOB #GHBOBneedsyou #andyouandyouandyou
