This week was the third annual "Apple Friday" for our GHHS Marching Band members! GHBOB parents Andy and Jenni Betz, both alums of the Gallia Academy high school marching band, have brought this tradition to us from their own high school years. When they were in school, once every season, a local family picked apples and brought them to share with the marching band as a way to say thanks to our students for all the hard work they put in creating entertaining shows for the fans and energetic support for the football team. The Betz family now does that for our marching Bobcats, and our students have started looking forward to this tradition and asking about it at the beginning of every year!
You can enjoy a few photos below from Apple Friday and the accompanying football game - a 35-0 pasting of our crosstown rivals from Bexley HS. And click here for some video! Big thanks to the Betz family for the sweet fruity treat and recognition of our band's hard work. See you all next week as we head back out on the road with our undefeated football Bobcats for a Friday night tilt at Chesapeake High School! Click here for photos related to this post
