GHBOB UPDATE

Greetings, GHHS Marching Band families! Happy pre-camp rehearsal week! Things are gonna start happening FAST now, so please read on for some important updates. 

1. SUMMER UNIFORM ORDERS: Reminder that all summer uniform orders are due this FRIDAY JULY 19. All freshmen members MUST place an order; returning members also may order replacement items during this time. Click here for the order form.
2. FALL UNIFORM FITTINGS: GHBOB volunteers will be at the GHHS Band Room THIS WEEK on Weds, Thu, and Fri to fit students for their fall formal uniforms. Please click here to visit our web site for the fitting schedule. If your student is not available this week for a fitting, please click here to email fall uniform chair Lisa Gladman to arrange an alternative time. ALL members must be fitted before August 7, when the group photo will be taken for the fall sports program and yearbook.

   POST-CAMP SCHEDULE: Reminder that the Marching Band will have four evening rehearsals between Band Camp and when school starts (on July 29 and 31 and August 5 and 7). The Band will also have a group photograph taken on Weds Aug 7 during the GHHS Athletic Dept's photo day (timing TBA). On Sat Aug 10, the Band will perform at the GH Touchdown Club's Meet the Team Pep Rally at 4pm, and ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS (including you!) are invited to join in the family day festivities that follow. And then on Sun Aug 11, our GHHS Marching Band will give their first performance of the 2024 season, with a free concert in Falco Park at 7:00pm. COLUMBUS PRIDE BAND PERFORMANCE: Some of you may already be aware that in her ample spare time (LOL), our own Mrs. Olis is one of the artistic directors for the Columbus Pride Bands, who are hosting a national conference right here in Columbus this week. The Conference culminates in concert featuring two concert bands, The Scioto River Band and The Olentangy River Band, comprising musicians from across the nation. The concert will be this Saturday 7/20 at 7:00pm in the Davidson Theatre at the Riffe Center in downtown Columbus, and Mrs. Olis invites all Grandview musicians and their families to see the performance! Click here for ticket information and other details.
