GHBOB BAND CAMP UPDATE

Hello Band Camp families and happy Band Camp weekend! Here are a few last minute notes and reminders as you prepare to send your students off to Otterbein tomorrow.

1. ROW SHIRTS: Row shirts were delivered to the homes of squad leaders TODAY(Saturday July 20). They were distributed by SQUAD rather than SECTION, so if your students want to coordinate decorating their shirts across the full section they will need to connect with other squad leaders to swap shirts. (Note that if a squad had two squad leaders, the shirts were delivered to only one SL's house, so if your SL did not receive a delivery, have them check with their fellow squad leader.) Please make sure that ALL ROW SHIRTS COME TO CAMP CHECK-IN TOMORROW so that everyone has their shirt for photos at the end of camp. 
2. BAND CAMP CHECK-IN: Check-in for Camp is in the hallway outside the GHHS Band Room, enter through the breezeway doors facing Fairview Avenue. Remember that all luggage and instrument cases will be searched by parent volunteers, so leave all of your weapons, drugs, and alcohol at home please! Sousaphones and percussions load instruments at 1:15pm and then may leave until their class report time. Freshmen members report between 1:30pm and 2:00pm. Sophomore and junior members report between 2:00pm and 2:30pm. Senior members report between 2:30pm and 2:45pm. BUSES ROLL AT 3:00pm!

   BAND CAMP MEDICATION FORM: available by clicking here. Please remember that you need a completed form for every medication your child will bring to Band Camp, and the medication and form must be checked in with the Camp Nurse tomorrow.

   UNIFORM REMINDERS: Summer uniform orders were due Friday July 19. If you have a freshman who did not place an order, please do so ASAP by clicking here. There are also a handful of students who still need to have their fall uniforms fitted; upperclassmen may try theirs on tomorrow before camp departure, or make separate arrangements with fall uniform chair Lisa Gladman. Freshmen should contact Lisa Gladman to arrange for a fitting. All students must be fitted before August 7. ​
