GHBOB sponsors an annual year-end picnic for the graduating seniors in our marching and concert band, jazz ensemble, and orchestra groups at the home of one of our seniors. This event was launched in 2021, as a substitute for the lost "senior night" at the 2020 Band Camp that never happened - but we have continued it every year since, in part because it gives us the opportunity to include and celebrate all of our seniors, not just the marching band students. 

Please note that this is a directors, students, and parents only event (no siblings, buddies, significant others, etc, please), and meant to be a last opportunity for the students to reminisce and trade stories and memories with each other and the directors before leaving GHHS - while the parents commiserate about their soon-to-be-graduating students.

The Smith and Gladman families are hosting this year, at the Smiths' home at 1228 Wyandotte Rd, and the event will be on Thursday May 21 after the Blue Star Mothers' event (approx 8:30pm). The Smiths plan to have their pool open for the students to use if weather permits - and either way they say the hot tub is always hot, so students who want to partake should bring a swimsuit!
